Kissimmee, Florida

Kissimmee (/ki'simi:/ ki-SIM-ee) named and incorporated in 1883. The name Kissimmee came from "Cacema" that means "long water".  Kissimmee is a family-oriented residential city in Osceola County, Florida.  Kissimmee is known for its off-the-beaten-path adventures, endless sunshine, proximity to world-famous theme parks and many hidden gems attractions. The City of Kissimmee was originally a small trading post on the northern bank of Lake Tohopekaliga known as the community of Allendale. As of the 2010 US Census, the population was 59,682 and it's a Principal City of the Orlando-Kissimmee-Sanford Metropolitan Statistical Area, which had a population of 2,134,411.

The real estate market in Kissimmee keeps growing fast, houses for sale are being sold in 75 days or less.  The median sales price for Single Family Homes in Kissimmee in October 2019 was $265,000 an 8.2% increment from last year. The average sales price was $289,763 that was 5.8% more than last year.
